Welcome to Brasted Forge. David Harman is a Master Blacksmith who upholds traditional methods of hand forged wrought ironwork. Though unlikely to sing his own praises, Dave won the title of Champion British Blacksmith in 1999 and is now one of the accredited judges of the championship competitions. He became a Liveryman Award Holder of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths in 2000. David has been commissioned by designers for prestigious clients including Sir Elton John, Maurice Saatchi and the late King of Jordan. While enjoying a National reputation, David is keen to emphasise that he is also the village blacksmith, a member of the local community, who isn't too proud to mend garden tools and the occasional shopping trolley.
